I’m far from the first person to start one of these monthly subscription-style art clubs...🙃 BUT I’m excited to offer hand-printed linocut pieces, delivered straight to your mailbox each month! As I’m transitioning to part-time work alongside full-time motherhood and scheming ways to have some sort of a steady income stream while my daytime hours of availability are currently very spotty, starting this “club” has been an immediate source of creative joy! And the thought of connecting to each of you in this way — slowly and steadily, like a whimsical little snail moving forward at its own pace — feels like I’m building the framework (and excitement!) to make tangible art again after navigating a combination of working full-time for an agency for years and having a baby.

All this to say, thank you for being here and I hope you enjoy the art of slowing down as much as I do — along with a nice, new piece of snail mail to look forward to reaching your doorstep each month 💌

My process:

I’m creating every one of these pieces stamp-by-stamp and print-by-print at my kitchen table, with thoughtfully-sourced materials not purchased from Amazon! Each print is made by carving high-density rubber blocks, and then coating them with water-soluble ink. I also love mixing mediums, so there will likely be months that include other types of marks on top of the block-printed ink. I’m currently using 65lb acid-free & lignin-free cardstock. Print dimensions are 4.5”x6.5" and will be mailed in a standard 5”x7” envelope via USPS. I will also be including a short, “artist’s statement” inside each envelope that might include sources of inspiration for that month’s piece, &/or general musings from my brain at that point in time. Ooo, the mystery of it all!

By setting up this art club as a monthly subscription, I’m creating each of these designs in batches. That said, quantity is technically unlimited, but the number I’m making each month is fixed and based on subscriber count. If you’d like to purchase an additional copy of the current month’s piece (prints make great gifts 😉), email me and I can include multiple in your envelope that month and we can settle up for the additional print(s) on the side. And if you sign up after the window has passed on a previous month’s print that you really loved, also reach out…as I just might set up and re-print it for you 🐌

Housekeeping notes: You will receive an email from me when your print has shipped each month, and by creating an account, you can cancel or pause your subscription any time. No questions asked (and I won’t take it personally)! Budgets shift, and maybe you don’t feel like you “need” a print every month. But “need” is a strong word for most things in life and just know that your support does mean so much to me and my little family here in Portland 💛
